World Cup 2022 Controversy’s the first World Cup not to take place during the summer months. To work around Qatar’s high temperatures in summer, World Cup 2022 is taking place in winter, and in the middle of the domestic football league season.

This means that every other international football competition such as the Premier League have had to shift their schedules around to different times of the year so that their players can compete for their national squads. However, Qatar has not been found guilty of buying the rights to host the competition.
